[atrb=border,0,true] [style=overflow: auto; height: 500px; width: 500px; border: 0px;] Name: Kingsley Bartholomew Allen Age: twenty-one Gender: male Orientation: straight Member Group: Regret Me Not, lead guitar Face Claim: Dougie Poynter Hometown: Los Angeles, California Likes: • music! It was inevitable, but it courses through his veins. • playing guitar! It’s an extension of who he really is. • family! He’s very close to his family and they mean the world to him. • hanging out! And being social. • success! Who doesn’t though? • tattoos! His Aunt Ari is the only artist he’ll allow to touch his skin. • video games and comic books! Kind of nerdy, but he makes no apologies for it. • sports! Especially basketball, watching it and playing it. • dating and playing the field! It's not about sleeping around, it's just about being young and enjoying life. He's not a whore, nor will he try to disrespect you or get in your pants, it's just about going out, being social and enjoying company. Dislikes: • his father! Not so much that he left him, but that he left his mother. Kingsley will never forgive him. • women who don’t respect themselves! He was raised to treat women with respect and how can he if you have none for yourself? • homophobes! His family lives very much outside the box and he can’t quite tolerate people who aren’t accepting of others. • drugs! He’s seen what it can do to someone, namely his uncle Josh. • being accused of riding his family coattails. He knocked on all the doors and established himself without asking for their help. Secrets: • There are times he feels very inferior as a musician. Being in a family with so many successful guitarists, it’s hard to live up to that. • In high school Kingsley was intimate with another male, not necessarily because he was attracted to him but more because he was curious. You can’t come from a family with a majority of them being gay and not wonder if you are too. Personality: Raised in the spotlight, you’d think that Kingsley would be self-centered or that he’s a bigger deal than he really is, but he couldn’t any farther from that. Humble, down to earth and old-fashioned, respectful and sweet are a few ways to describe the guitarist. He’s very social, loves to hang out and just be around people whether it’s a party, watching a game, playing video games or literally just hanging out and doing nothing. Kingsley’s not into the drug scene, he’s seen what it can do to someone (he has an uncle that is a recovered drug addict) and he’s not interested in that. He does drink, but socially. As chill as he can be, Kingsley does have a temper and isn’t afraid to defend himself and those he cares about. He can hold a grudge a lot longer than most people, so burning a bridge with him means that you may never get the chance to rebuild it. Kingsley is very loyal and respectful, treats people like he wants to be treated but he’s not a pushover by any means. He was raised to be a gentleman and he prides himself on that. Laughing, joking around an having fun are pretty much his thing, outside of music and family. There is another side to Kingsley that tends to only comes out when it deals with matters of the heart beyond friendship and family. As much as he wants to believe in that whole happily ever after thing that his entire family believes in, Kingsley has a very hard time with it. Whether he inherited it from his father or it was a learned coping mechanism, he does not express his feelings very well (when he has them). If he has true romantic feelings for you it will come out in the way of him doing little things, writing you a song, gifts, that sort of thing. Actually speaking the words almost cripples him with anxiety. Kingsley's not afraid of love by any means because he does want it one day, that whole happy family, fairytale, but getting there is the hardest part. He's never actually been in love, but he knows what it's like to have a broken heart and the feeling of knowing what it's like to have someone you love not love you in return (thanks to his father). When it comes to his friends and family however, Kingsley has no issue expressing his emotions and love toward them. Family Members: Charlotte Kaycee Allen, female, 47, musician, mother Benjamin Locke Allen, male, 51, musician, father-estranged Braeydon James Mercier, male, 47, musician, uncle (father figure) History: Kingsley comes from a family of pretty much all musicians. Born to Charlotte (Charlie) North and Ben Allen, the lead singer and rhythm guitarist for the band, Alabaster Sunday. What was supposed to be his mother’s fairytale, marrying the man she’d loved for seven years, ended up far from that. Within the first few months of Kingsley’s birth, his father started growing distant and with each day that passed, his distance only grew. By the time he was six months old, his father had lost it completely and left Charlie alone with her son, heartbroken. She had no other choice but to pick up the pieces for Kingsley’s sake, so she put her band on hiatus, moved from New York City to Los Angeles where the rest of her family lived and within weeks of that packed up some things for them and went on tour with her brother and brothers in law’s band, Starlight Revenge. It was a difficult time for Charlie, but she managed to pull through with the help of everyone around her. Kingsley’s family has a very different dynamic, at least by societal standards. Aside from his mother, he was raised by his Uncle Braeydon (his father’s younger brother) and his husband Dylan, his Uncle Mark (his father’s youngest brother) and his wife Arianna and his Uncle Toby (his mother’s brother) and his husband Kolt. Outside of his Aunt Ari, everyone else was a musician, so Kingsley basically grew up in the industry, touring most of his life with tutors and homeschooling until he was old enough for high school. To him, that lifestyle was normal and he and all of his cousin’s embraced it. It had never really occurred to him that it wasn’t a normal lifestyle, any of it, not just growing up in the industry because he had some of the most amazing role models teaching him about life. When he was old enough to realize that his father wasn’t in the picture, Kingsley went to his mother and questioned her about it. As best as she could, Charlie explained to her son what had happened, but never once had an ill word to say about her ex-husband. Kingsley wasn’t stupid though, he could see it in her eyes how much she still loved his father and how much it broke her heart and it was at that moment he knew that he hated his father and would never forgive him for what he did to his mom. He was about twelve at the time. Life went on seemingly normal for Kingsley. For as long as he could remember he had been playing guitar and singing, the story goes that he was four the first time he picked up a guitar to play. By the time he was ten he had been practicing every day, trying to be as good as his uncles, hoping that one day he could live up to the bar they’d set. Kingsley was home schooled both at home and on the road until he was fourteen, when he went to boarding school to finish out high school. It was a strange experience for him, but it was definitely a good time. He met some good people and really found out who he was and who he wasn’t. Kingsley was one of the popular kids, hung out with everyone and sort of just did his thing. He partied like everyone else but always kept a good head on his shoulders. When everyone else was preparing for college though, Kingsley was recording tracks and looking to establish himself in the industry he grew up in. As easy as it could have been for him, he wanted to do it on his own, without using his name or riding his family coattails, which he clearly did. Kingsley managed to get together with some friends and establish a band and now, the rest is history. Alias: Jericha Experience: 7 years How’d you find us? The Show Goes On ♥ Sample: It was so hard to control her excitement, especially when she heard the tugging on the other side of the door. As much as she had wanted to see Sarah months ago, she also understood that Kolt needed time to adjust. It was hard and of course it hurt, but at the same time she had to respect her brother and brother in law. Neither Toby or Kolt had the best life growing up and it was expected that they would both have fears and anxieties, it made sense that they wanted time to adjust as a family. Charlie never had any doubt that they would make amazing parents. Toby was a sweet, loving man by nature and Kolt, well as rough as he was on the outside, he had a soft spot for Toby and that meant that he had room to love. As the door opened, Charlie drew in a breath that was meant to end in a squeak, but she managed to hold it back when her eyes focused on the body before her. Without even looking up, she knew it was Kolt and not Toby, something so obvious just by the size of the torso. She looked upward, almost straining her neck, a large smile on her lips. The sound of her brother in laws voice, the tone in it had thrown her off completely, but not nearly as much as when he reached up and took the bag off her shoulder. That had caught her so off guard that Charlie remained speechless for a few seconds. Kolt was not that nice, thoughtful or soft spoken. Just the thought that Sarah had caused him to become those things made her smile. ”Hi Kolt. How are you?” Charlie made sure to keep her voice down to a minimum, though it wasn’t easy since her normal speaking voice was high pitched. Her blue eyes diverted from Kolt’s face to the small bundle that remained against his chest. Sarah, her niece. She was such a tiny little thing or at least appeared to be against Kolt’s chest. Kingsley had never looked that small, but then again she was only four foot ten and a baby would look very different against her chest. She nodded when he told her to come in, stepping up into the house making sure not to bump Kingsley’s car seat against the doorframe. Charlie followed her brother in law into the living room, placing the car seat on the floor before taking off her coat. She then kneeled down and unbuckled her son from the seat, taking his coat off, then placed him on the floor. Kingsley let out a babble before sitting himself beside Charlie, playfully trying to grab a hold of the cherry’s that were printed on her dress. She looked up at Kolt, giggling at his question. ”The green one is Kingsley’s. The black one is for you and Toby and the clothes inside are for Sarah.” She tried not to show her confusion on her face, but Kolt chuckling, the softness in his voice, this really was a completely different man than the one she’d known since high school. This was amazing. Charlie didn’t want to stare, but there was just something about watching Kolt with Sarah that warmed her heart in a way it had never felt before. Maybe because she knew Kolt, she knew only a portion of what he’d endured and that was horrific enough, but to see him just holding the little girl, Charlie could feel how much he loved her. Her smile grew when she watched her niece stirring, the familiar sound of an almost cry, one Charlie knew so well. Kingsley let out a small squeak and plopped himself down onto his hands and crawled toward the couch, pulling himself up so he could take a closer look. ”Go easy babyface. You don’t want to frighten her.” Charlie could tell that her little boy was fascinated by the sounds that Sarah was making and that made Charlie giggle softly. Everything about this felt amazing. She looked up at Kolt when he spoke, fighting back tears of happiness. Charlie didn’t want to scare Kolt or even worse get on his nerves. ”Would it be okay if I held her? It looks like Kingsley is more interested in you anyway.” She laughed as she looked at her son tugging on his uncle’s leg before he reached both arms up and babbling in his own language for Kolt to pick him up. |
